Jorge Ramirez Hernandez is a researcher of the Institute of Engineering of the University Autonomous of Baja California (UABC) from 1989. Currently, he is chief of the Hydrology, Geophysics, and Environmental Impact Department. He got his bachelor on Physical Oceanography in the Marine Sciences School of UABC with honors. He obtained his Master Degree on Exploration Geophysics in the Center for Scientific Investigation and Higher Education of Ensenada, B.C., Mexico in 1988. He got Ph. D. degree in Environmental Sciences in the university of Alcalá, Spain in 1997 with honors. The emphasis of his investigation has carried out it in the surface and underground water resources evaluation in semi-arid climates.
