Karin Quimby comes to Moms Clean Air Force with a strong background in political affairs, coalition building and field management. Karin served as the Southern Regional Field Director and Deputy Director of Project One America at the Human Rights Campaign, and before that managed environmental issues for two elected leaders in California. In addition, Karin co-founded and co-directed the Environmental Coalition of Faith Communities, Santa Barbara and has significant experience in faith-based organizing and in building durable coalitions. She has a PhD in English from the University of Southern California and prior to turning to work in politics full time taught film, literature and LGBTQ studies at the university level. She lives with her spouse, Jo Ann, in Washington D.C.
